Making new food recipes for dinner for babies is always a tough task. What to try and what not to, is always the most popular dilemma. The baby food recipes should not only be healthy, but should be tempting too!

1) Grilled Cheese and shredded meat/ veggie

Make cheese sandwich that is grilled, just like you would do for an adult. Chop meat piece into tiny bits. Fill the meat between layers of cheese. Grill the sandwich again and make it into small pieces by cutting. Serve it to the baby when cooled.

2) Twins’ rice balls

Cook rice just like you usually do. Mash the rice until it becomes like a paste so that your baby finds it easy to eat. Add fruits or vegetables and mash more. Include meat which you find appropriate and again mash. The whole mixture must be like a paste but not thick enough to make it difficult for the baby to eat. Make the mixture into small balls and serve as it is or you could also heat it up. This dish is great for babies who practice eating with spoons.

3) Baby meat balls

Put beef or chicken into a bowl. Add some wheat germ and cereal to the meat and mince. Put some mashed vegetables or fruits so that the mixture gains some moisture. Blend together just like you would do while making meat balls for adults. Bake it in the oven at around 350 degrees until the dish turns brown and is cooked properly. Wrap it in a tin foil and make sure that meatballs are not burnt as they will become hard and it would be difficult for the baby to eat.

4) Pasta rings

Cool small rings of pasta according to the directions mentioned on the package. Drain the pasta and put it in a bowl. Toss it with cooked vegetables, cooked meat and grated cheese. Also add butter. Serve it in a bowl.

5) Mac N cheese Pastina

Cook Pastina just like mentioned in the directions. Add cubes of American cheese and Colby simultaneously while the pasta is cooking. Melt the cheese while it is cooking. Add three tablespoons of milk when cheese is totally melted and stirred. If the baby is old enough to consume table foods you could also add vegetables and meat as well. This food will be an easy pick up for the toddler fingers. Make sure you serve this dish warm.

6) French Fried Turnips & Nuggets

Preheat the oven up to 450 degrees. Chop turnips into half and toss it in a container with parmesan, olive oil, Rosemary, salt and pepper to taste. Spread out the turnips on an oiled sheet pan and bake it until it turns into a golden color for about twenty minutes. Serve it with protein sources like the tofu cubes or meatballs. This can make for great snack too.

7) Broccoli & Cheddar Cheese Nuggets

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and coat a baking sheet using olive oil and keep it aside. Add seasonings like pepper, garlic powder, oregano or extra Basil. Make the whole mixture look like nuggets or even fun shapes so that kids love it. Put it on a baking plate and bake it for thirty minutes after turning over the nuggets after first fifteen minutes. Serve the dish when it is warm.

8) Scrambled Tofu with Mushroom and Green Pepper

Heat oil in medium heat and saute onion for around there minutes in a skillet, ensuring to stir often. Add some green pepper and mushrooms. Cook for five more minutes. Squeeze sauce over tofu in a bowl and mash it with a fork or you could also use your fingers to crumble them. Add some Ginger water and soy sauce. 9) Nana’s Creamed Peas & Nuggets

Cook until the sauce thickens. Later add peas and cook until they are heated through. Keep stirring and add meat. Serve the dish warm or also with brown rice or multi grain toast.

10) Pasta & Garden Vegetable Combo

Blend fresh or frozen beans and peas with sliced pieces of potatoes and small chunks of carrots. Add water to immerse vegetables. Mince vegetables with cooked pasta and add water from the veggies until mixture comes out as desired.
